Malaba Game Sanctuary: A Paper Exercise

6 km west past Amagoro, at the furthermost west of Kenya, the border town of Malaba is reached. It’s unlikely that the residents of Malaba itself know that the Malaba Game Sanctuary exists. Like the Ngai-Ndeithya National Reserve near Mtito-Andei, which is cultivated from end-to-end, Malaba Sanctuary seems to be more of a paper exercise. There is nothing to discern it from its surrounding.

Kenya certainly has enormous touring resources. There are no less than sixty national narks, reserves and game sanctuaries, covering approximately 11% of the land surface. Each of these diverse and stunning national parks and reserves offers unique wildlife experiences and unique, breathtaking landscapes.
